SkeyDrone and SafeSky Exchange Traffic Data to Enhance Safety in the Skies

SkeyDrone is enhancing its Traffic Information Service (TIS) by integrating real-time traffic data from SafeSky while providing SafeSky with uncrewed aircraft data in return. Used by drone pilots operating beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), SkeyDrone’s TIS offers a comprehensive situational awareness solution by displaying both crewed and uncrewed traffic.SafeSky, a leading provider of anti-collision technology, offers an app used by over 85,000 pilots across Europe.

Air Traffic Control Forum to discuss air traffic control challenges and innovations

Global ATC equipment market to reach US$60 billion by 2025 - Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) are working their ways to ensure smooth aircraft movements as several of them face what the EUROCONTROL calls “structural capacity shortfalls, and less airspace availability for re-routings.” Globally, aircraft movements is expected to reach 178.1 million by 2042, up from 106.7 million in 2024. In 2042, international passenger traffic will reach the 8.7 billion mark and domestic traffic to 10.6 billion passengers, as per ACI World.

Saab enhances airport operations with Digital Apron Management Center at Lima Airport

Saab has equipped Lima Airport’s Digital Apron Management Center with advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency and capacity. The system, launched in December 2024, provides Lima Airport Partners (LAP) with improved situational awareness and management capability over apron operations. The deployment includes Saab’s Digital Towers, ADS-B surveillance, Aerobahn surface management system, and TactiCall Voice Communication system. This solution enables LAP to optimise apron operations and better manage growing air traffic.
