Airbus ProSky and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore to Cooperate on Air Traffic Management

Airbus ProSky and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) have executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on Air Traffic Management (ATM) initiatives to safely and efficiently support the growth of air transportation in Singapore and throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The partnership will facilitate the assessment of technology, serve to accelerate and strengthen ATM system enhancements and will also assist in building the Centre of Excellence for ATM, in which Singapore will be host to various ATM entities conducting research & development (R&D) to develop and adapt new ATM concepts.

"Singapore is at the nucleus of the fast growing Asia Pacific region, where air traffic movements are growing rapidly and collaborative ATM systems are needed to help meet that demand," said Eric Stefanello, CEO, Airbus ProSky. "CAAS is an innovative ATM service provider and Airbus ProSky is dedicated to supporting their Centre of Excellence for ATM with intelligent solutions that enable air transportation performance and capacity improvements."

"Airbus ProSky's vast experience and capabilities in air traffic flow management, Collaborative Decision Making and various areas of ATM will bring strength and depth to the Centre of Excellence for ATM for the development of ATM concepts, technologies and solutions for Singapore and the Asia-Pacific," said Yap Ong Heng, Director-General, CAAS. "This partnership will contribute to the region's ATM service and performance in step with advancements in aircraft capabilities."

The partnership between Airbus ProSky and CAAS developed during joint technical workshops with both parties recognizing the importance of ATM modernization to their respective missions and the opportunity to work together to improve aviation capacity, efficiency and interoperability in the fast-growing Singapore and Asia Pacific region.
