JAA TO is ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Associate
JAA TO is officially recognized as ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Associate. During the Gala Dinner of the Flight Safety Foundation/South East Europe-Middle East-Cyprus Conference on 27 April 2011 in Nicosia, Cyprus - and in attendance of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Demetris Christofias -, Mr R Benjamin, Secretary General of ICAO, handed the Certificate to Mr J Jonker, JAA TO Director.
For years, the management of JAA TO has demonstrated its commitment to delivering training courses of the highest quality for the benefit of Governments and Aviation Industry. Opting for membership of the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme and the cooperation with ICAO and other TRAINAIR PLUS members is proof of this commitment, Benjamin speeched. The objective of the ICAO TRAINAIR Programme is to improve safety and efficiency of air transport through the establishment and maintenance of high standards of training and competency for aviation personnel on a worldwide basis and in a cost effective manner.
Jonker: We are particularly proud to receive this recognition being the first European training organisation nominated TRAINAIR PLUS Associate. The PLUS Programme includes significantly revised course development procedures and requirements, a new approach to the Standarized Training Package (STP) sharing library and a self-sustaining budgetary mechanism. We are very much looking forward to cooperate with our fellow TRAINAIR PLUS Members and exchange training programmes, knowledge and expertise, thus building a strong platform for future developments and improvements in aviation safety training.
The ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme is in line with the recently adopted ICAO Training Policy and the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals initiatives.
