Precision Applications at Farnborough
Precision Applications is proud to announce that it has recently installed, a Veristore ATC Communication and Surveillance Recording System at TAG London Farnborough Airport on behalf of NATS (Services) Ltd.
This new system has been accepted by both Farnborough Airport and the UK CAA and is now fully operational. It complies with all of the latest ICAO standards and the UK CAA requirements published in CAP 670, Sections COM 01 and SUR 10, which replaces RAD 09.
Farnborough has always been associated with flying and is regarded as the birthplace of aviation in the UK. It was the first operational airport in the UK and is located in an area where the airspace is heavily congested. It is a legal requirement that any information, which may influence a decision made by an Air Traffic Controller, is recorded.
This information is best defined as Communications (voice signals) and Surveillance Data, (radar data). Surveillance data is recorded in two formats, raw, unprocessed radar signals and processed radar signals, displayed on the controller operational screens. An accurate reproduction of the information that was presented to the controller may be reproduced at any time.
TAG Aviation took over the running of Farnborough Airport in 1997.
Today TAG London Farnborough Airport is the most modern and efficient business aviation airport in Europe and is a convenient gateway directly into London. It has been purpose built from the ground up to meet the highest standards of safety, service, and convenience for both passengers and crews alike.
Precision Applications have now successfully completed the installation of seven ATC Recording Systems at major UK airports on behalf of NATS (Services) Ltd and have been their preferred supplier of ATC recording equipment since 2006.
