Protocol of Cooperation between NAV Portugal and ADM Mozambique
NAV Portugal and ADM Mozambique concluded a Protocol of Cooperation signed on the 7th of June in Maputo in order to modernize the air traffic control systems at Mozambique airports.
Further to the technical support for the installation of state of the art air traffic control equipment, NAV Portugal will also deliver training courses under the area of air navigation and operational services provision. This agreement will allow the establishment and deepening of the technical, operational and financial collaboration concerning the implementation of initiatives for joint activities and exchange of expertise under the scope of air navigation.
Both CEOs, Mr. Luís Coimbra on behalf of NAV Portugal and Mr. Manuel Veterano on behalf of ADM Mozambique, expressed their greatest satisfaction on the outcome of several years of fruitful cooperation.
Mr. Manuel Veterano, referred that the signature of this protocol is the summit of the relationship between the two companies adding that this agreement is the answer to the ongoing modernization of ADM infrastructures in order to the ever growing air traffic demands.
Mr. Luís Coimbra stated that ADM will be fitted with state of the art equipment for the air traffic control and surveillance area. Moreover, NAV Portugal will strive to make ADM a quite visible reference concerning safety patterns for the airports of Mozambique.
In conclusion, cooperation in the area of Air Navigation Services is of paramount importance. In this particular case it will be a quite thrusting tool for the development of technical areas, operational services provision aiming the optimization of the air navigation services in Portugal and Mozambique.
