SITTI expands in South America

Continuing its expansion in the VCS market in the South American countries, SITTI has completed the installation and set-up of brand new MULTIFONO® M800IP® Voice Communication Systems (VCS) and ancillary equipment at 6 sites in Colombia. The supplied VCS systems include the latest Controller Working Positions (CWP) that allow controllers to easily and intuitively interface the Radio and Telephone communication facilities provided by the MULTIFONO® M800IP® system. The SITTI system has been chosen by Radiocom S.A. for Aeronáutica Civil in Colombia for the full adherence of the supplied systems to the Customer requirements and its positive response to the local operational needs.

The airports benefitting from the latest and most advanced VOIP technology provided by the MULTIFONO® M800IP® VCS family are Villavicencio ACC and the towers of Florencia, Arauca, Saravena, Tame, Puerto Inírida. The wide experience of SITTI in the Air Traffic Control field is thus put at the Customer disposal through top edge systems, capable of interfacing analogue and IP radio channels, in order to provide local ATC controllers all the required facilities to best manage the traffic under their responsibility. M800IP® is in fact fully compliant to the latest EUROCAE ED137 VOIP standard, but also able to deal with analogue connections as well. These latter can be upgraded to digital ones as soon as the connection needs evolve.
