ANTA sh.a. was established as state-owned enterprise in 1992. It was transformed into a joint stock company under the name of National Air Traffic Agency on February the 3rd, 1999. This company manages and controls the airspace of Albania (FIR) in accordance with the international standards of air navigation.
ALBCONTROL, is our new name in order to be closer to the state and national identity, to better represent the services it provides and to be closer it’s European sister companies, since the 15th of November 2013.
ALBCONTROL is a 100% state owned joint stock company, property of the Ministry of Commerce, Economic Development and Enterprise. Since 2003 it is a member of EUROCONTROL and from 2009, a member of CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organization).
