With the development of China-made large aircraft project, the corresponding domestic commercial high bypass ratio turbofan engine project is steady progressing under support and promotion of relevant government departments. Since the 21st century, the development of the aero engine industry has stepped into a new stage, aero engine ranked the head of ‘100 Major Project’，the establishment of Aeronautical Engine (Group) Corporation of China will also open a new chapter in the development of China's aero engine industry, it will promote the aviation industry develops towards higher quality, updated category, more powerful and economic effective direction, but also put forward to new requirements and challenges of aero engine research and development. Meanwhile, the introduction of government encouragement policies, in-depth research and development cooperation of corporates have brought unprecedented opportunities of China's aero engine industry development. January 18th, 2009, Aviation Industry Corporation of China was established AVIC Commercial Aviation Engine Co., Ltd. (ACAE) in Shanghai. As a commercial high bypass ratio turbofan engine project main responsibility and main manufacture unit, according to modern large civil aircraft engine bypass high ratio, low fuel consumption, low pollution, high reliability development trends, according to the current situation of the civilian high bypass ratio engine insufficient technology reserve, design, manufacturing, and other supporting material system has not been established, ACAE implement the guiding ideology that ‘take the initiative, self-reliance’ , on the other hand, ACAE develops extensive international cooperation, breakthroughs in key technologies positively, construct domestic civil high bypass ratio engine design system. In order to complete the research and development of large aircraft engine project on the basis of prior techniques, ACAE create a dumbbell-type business model of ‘both ends inside - middle outside’ : ACEA undertake the overall engine design project, assembly and commissioning, marketing, sales and customer service，etc., and also ACEA will integrate domestic and external resources to finish unit body and systems design, manufacturing and test. AECE will be able to drive clustering breakthrough of domestic related key technologies fields according to its operation and practice of new business models, it will promote domestic materials, manufacturing industry and technological progress, improve the technological content and market competitiveness of our materials, machinery, electronic processing equipment and appropriate software as well as promote the upgrading and adjustment of industrial structure to create a powerful ‘Aeronautical Engine’ , to drive China's large civil aircraft fly to the sky earlier, to achieve national wills.
