Event description
CANSO: Maintaining competency for ATCOs & Dispatchers during COVID-19 and throughout the restart of aviation
COVID-19 had an impact on training and licensing of ATCOs and dispatchers due to the lockdown imposed in many States, the inaccessibility to training facilities, the changing priorities in medical checks and the impact of physical distancing requirements on OJT. To ensure continuity of operations, many regulators approved the extension of licenses and alleviated some requirements for recurrent and refresher training.
This webinar will discuss the impact of extension of licenses and recurrent training and what can be done to ensure continued competency with all the new requirements, e.g. physical distancing. The guest speakers will also share best practices and discuss the alternatives to training facilities and in-class room training.
