Event description
The application of new air navigation technology is closely related to the airlines’ operational safety, efficiency and future development. Past experiences show that airlines put great emphasis on securing safety and improving their efficiency. In 2014, China’s air transportation industry will push hard towards adapting new technologies such as PBN. The country currently works on processing and implementing widely usage of PBN; China is finishing the PBN program that is designed for 30 airports, 75% of civil airports has the capacity of operating PBN, while 25% of civil airports has already been fully processed with the program. Additionally the country is promoting new technologies such as EFB, HUD, ADS-B, GBAS and Air-ground Data Link.
In order to promote and populate the knowledge on the applications of new air navigation technology in Chinese airlines, the China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology (CAST) will host the China Air Navigation New Technology Forum on June 4 – 5, 2014 in Beijing. Join in the discussion on how to improve business capability of pilots, dispatcher, aeronautical information personnel and other technicians. Attend and understand the usage of the latest air navigation technologies and have a glance at the future implications of these new technologies.
