This webinar gives an introduction on how to facilitate for the rapidly increasing number of UAS (drones) while maintaining flight safety for all airspace users. The perspective is mainly European, but is for the largest part applicable worldwide. We will touch on current and emerging drone services, UTM services and architecture, current and proposed regulation, counter-measures against “rogue drones”, UTM implementation status, and challenges. The presentation is followed by an interactive Q&A session.
About our speaker: Mr. Roger Li
Mr. Roger Li is the UTM (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Manager at LFV (the Swedish Air Navigation Service Provider). He has a Master of Science in Communication and Transport Systems Engineering from Linköping University. Additionally, he has approximately twenty years of work experience in aviation, ranging from R&D on aviation data link applications, standardisation, project management, leading positions in Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) and now UTM.
