Webinar: Managing the COVID-19 Crisis: Impact on ANSPs
Event description
Global air traffic operations have been reduced to unimaginable levels. Many Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) are under extreme financial difficulty as airline revenues have evaporated. Yet air traffic services provided by ANSPs remain essential to the safe and efficient operation of airspace, especially during the COVID-19-pandemic. In some instances, air traffic services have been interrupted because ATC facilities were evacuated and cleaned following personnel coronavirus-positive test results. How are ANSPs dealing with financial challenges and sustaining essential air traffic services? What are the immediate challenges related to the COVID-19 crisis from an operational and safety perspective? What are the key international harmonization considerations as air traffic returns? What steps are being taken to prepare ANSP capabilities, processes and workforces for a post-pandemic world?
Join Flight Safety Foundation as it continues its COVID-19 pandemic series of International Webinars. Our panelists will discuss what goes into planning for and mitigating the impact of the virus at ANSPs, and what improvements could be made to the system to help ANSPs manage through the current crisis and prepare for the future.
