FCS Flight Calibration Services GmbH is a joint venture of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, skyguide ltd and Austro Control GmbH. FCS has a long history of providing first-rate flight inspection services, backed by a h24 operational concept and highest availability, consistent with the stringent requirements of our ANSP, military, airport and industry customers. FCS provides fully ICAO Doc 8071-compliant flight inspections and radar flight testing services, as well as flight validation (Doc 9906) and delivers several thousand flight inspection hours each year.

FCS is ISO9001:2008-certified and holds approvals for flight inspection from several regulators and agencies. FCS flight inspectors and flight validation pilots are licensed by the German ATC supervisory agency, BAF. The FCS company Safety Management System (SMS) IS-BAO stage 2 audited.

FCS two Beechcraft Super King Air 350 aircraft (registered D-CFMD and D-CFME) feature a Collins ProLine 21 glass cockpit and a high end Aerodata flight inspection system. FCS employs two Learjet 35A aircraft for radar flight testing and offers optional SASS-C evaluations. As one of the few flight inspection providers worldwide with a GBAS-certified flight inspection aircraft, FCS employs its D-CFME aircraft both for GBAS flight inspections and APV SBAS (LPV) flight validation. FCS validates all new GPS based procedures using a test/ preproduction database coded in the regular industry processing chain and employs dedicated tools for database validation. FCS has performed a large number of LPV flight inspections and flight validations in Switzerland and in Germany in the past years.



Beyond flight inspection, FCS provides related R&D, engineering and consultancy services, as well as expert studies. Services include special SISMOS measurements and evaluations to identify ILS or radar disturbances. Past projects included a major 1030/1090 MHz SSR transponder/ radar interoperability study carried out for EASA, DME propagation studies carried out for EUROCONTROL and various surveillance receiver design support projects for the aero¬space manufacturing industry.
