PJ.10-W2 PROSA Solution 96 Attention Guidance

- Geneva, Switzerland.

After two years of collaboration with our partners in the frame of the SESAR 2020 European Research & Innovation Program, an operational validation of the SESAR solution PJ.10-W2 96 Attention Guidance had been carried out end of January in Geneva, Switzerland. The exercise run will take place mid of June in Geneva.

The objective of the solution is to reduce the air traffic controller (ATCO) workload. To achieve this goal, an innovative solution has been brought by Skyguide and built by SkySoft-ATM (exercise lead, platform development), in close collaboration with our partners Leonardo (solution lead), NATS is leading the human factor aspects, HungaroControl (safety aspects). The principle is to fade-out flights largely non-conflictual to reduce the number of flights scanned by the ATCO. A flight in fade out will be displayed in a color closed to color of the screen background color.

Thanks to this new functionality developed within the framework of the SESAR project PJ.10-W2 PROSA, which is under the lead of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, we are paving the way for the future of air traffic management by offering our ATCOs even more efficient and innovative tools.

PJ.10-W2 PROSA has received funding from the SESAR Joint Undertaking under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 874464.
