ACAMS Signs Landmark Framework Agreement with NAV CANADA
ASI Solution for the National ATM/ANS Digital Facilities Initiative, the DAATS Program

ACAMS AS, a global leader in Airport Tower solutions, is proud to announce the signing of a significant agreement with NAV CANADA to deliver a standardized solution to remotely control and monitor airport systems including Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, VHF-DF systems, Crash Alarm systems and other Auxiliaries as applicable. The solution is based on the proven ACAMS I-TWR product utilized for several Digital Tower applications including the NINOX Remote TWR program with Avinor in Norway. This partnership marks a transformative step in modernizing air traffic management systems across Canada, starting with the implementation at Kingston Airport Flight Service Station (FSS), Kingston, Ontario.
The ACAMS I-TWR solution will play a significant role in NAV CANADA’s Digital Aerodrome Air Traffic Services (DAATS) initiative, supporting the development of the Airport Systems Interface (ASI) including HMI at the Kingston Digital Facility. This state-of-the-art solution provides a standardized interface for managing non-standard airport systems and ensures seamless interoperability for each working position within the DAATS digital hubs.
Strategic Modernization with ACAMS I-TWR
As NAV CANADA’s first operational unit to transition to a Digital Facility, Kingston Airport FSS will serve as a validation ground for the ASI solution. This development establishes a common endpoint for managing non-standard systems, significantly reducing complexity during the integration of new sites and enabling consistent, efficient operations at subsequent facilities. The initial purchase order under this agreement is the ASI for the Kingston Flight Service Station (FSS), HMI solution and 2 identical ASI systems for Test Bed and Technical Training purposes. This marks the first implementation of this groundbreaking technology in Canada.
Enhanced Interoperability and Future Expansion
The implementation of the ACAMS I-TWR solution and ASI standardization will streamline operations across NAV CANADA’s network. By providing a robust API-driven platform, ACAMS ensures the flexibility, scalability, and adaptability needed to future-proof NAV CANADA’s infrastructure and maintain its position as a leader in air traffic management.
