All Weather Inc. achieves CMMI Level 3 Rating
All Weather Inc. (AWI) is pleased to announce that it has achieved the CMMI Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level (ML) 3 rating. The maturity level was issued following a Class A CMMI Appraisal conducted by a CMMI Institute authorized appraiser and a review by the CMMI Institute. AWI is now among the elite group of small businesses to be independently appraised at CMMI ML 3.
AWI CTO Neal Dillman commented on the achievement, stating "AWI is committed to excellence in aviation technology solutions. We strive to achieve our clients’ business objectives through technological innovation. The CMMI ML 3 assessment is a testament to the quality of our AWI Agile Product Development Lifecycle and our corporate commitment to continuously improving our institutional knowledge in the best interest of our clients."
Achieving a CMMI Level 3 designation demonstrates AWI’s performance and execution is based on standards, procedures, tools and methods that are well-defined, understood and improved over time. Organizations using CMMI realize predictable cost, schedule, and quality results that serve as discriminators against competitors. The fact that AWI is also ISO 9001:2008 certified gives our customers the access to synergistic effects of combining CMMI and ISO processes.
AWI’s ISO mantra is “To strive for continuous improvement”. We've applied this continuous improvement philosophy in a number of different disciplines across the business, including configuration management, quality assurance, verification and validation, risk management, requirements management, project management, interface compatibility, availability management, data collection, resource allocation, and more. Achieving CMMI level 3 is a significant milestone for any company. It is an important affirmation of AWI’s total commitment to customer satisfaction through continuous improvement.
“CMMI Maturity Level 3 represents a significant step in AWI’s ability to compete for, attain, manage and execute development efforts of all sizes, for both the commercial and government markets.” said Jason Hall, President and CEO of AWI. He added, “The powerful combination of ISO and CMMI assures to our customers that AWI is committed to continuous improvement and excellence in our work.”
The Level 3 category is referred to as the Defining Level, and companies that achieve Level 3 have demonstrated that they manage and execute project and business operations through the use of the organization’s defined and controlled standard process assets. The CMMI Level 3 rating is a distinction that clearly demonstrates to our customers that we are fully committed to high-level process improvements that assure the delivery of superior product, system, and service solutions. This maturity level is increasingly becoming a competitive differentiator on many government programs and is consistent with AWI’s culture of continuous improvement and commitment to excellence.
