Aloft Aviation Consulting Enters Strategic Partnership with EUROCONTROL to Launch a New Safety Performance Measurement Tool
Aloft Aviation Consulting, Ltd. has been awarded a two-year contract by EUROCONTROL to launch the first generation of the Aerospace Performance Factor (APF) as an online desktop performance measurement tool to the EU countries/states Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP).
The innovation of air traffic control safety data delivered online for key officials within the EU countries/states ANSPs helps place them in the forefront of the global effort to enhance aviation safety. The tool will offer the users increased speed and ease of interpreting data to enhance rapid decision-making.
The Aerospace Performance Factor, more commonly referred to as the APF, is an innovative method to measure safety and performance by presenting a graphical view of multiple related data elements.
EUROCONTROL and several European Air Navigation Service Providers, along with Aloft Aviation Consulting, have worked together in the evolution and testing of the desktop model.Senior safety managers are acknowledging the tool as an effective method for assessing the relative performance of both airline and ANSP organizations because the tool rapidly identifies trends to help decision-makers direct and improve future performance. The tool can serve to baseline operational measures, create target performance limits and establish normal operational parameters utilizing actual company performance data, which then provides a performance picture to the user.
The APF will be brought to the open market in Summer 2011 and will transfer across all industries benefiting any decision maker that requires quick analysis of their targeted operational status for improved performance.
