GVK's Mumbai International Airport fully operationalises 'SAGA' to enhance Safety & Efficiency

The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) managed by GVK Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) successfully operationalized ALTYS Technologies’ airport surface surveillance solution, SAGA, for operational safety and efficiency.  The technology was under testing since November 2017.

Together with the deployment of an airport surface and terminal area surveillance infrastructure, SAGA provides the airport operator with real-time situational awareness over aircraft and ground vehicles movements, improving safety and efficiency of operations, in all weather conditions and peak traffic hours.

The SAGA provides MIAL with detailed insight into operational performance, with a number of advanced statistical reports and alarm features. It calculates and automatically updates the AODB with a number of A-CDM KPIs, such as actual landing times, in-block and off-block times, taxi times, Runway Occupancy Times of individual aircraft, and many more. It also includes a replay mode for incident investigation.

SAGA’s modern software architecture allows easy configuration of multiple user profiles that can be displayed simultaneously enabling it to be easily distributed over both JCC working positions and management positions with different features.
