Aveillant's Commercial Director congratulates NATS on recent announcement

John Allan, Commercial Director at Aveillant, congratulates NATS on its recent announcement which, he says, represents a significant step towards bringing the wind energy and aviation sectors together.

“We welcome the news that NATS has signed a deal with SSE and Vattenfall to deliver a mitigation service for Lowther Hill and Great Dun Fell, and offer our congratulations to them for achieving this significant step.

“It is important that we work as an industry to resolve the problems of clutter caused by wind turbines on air traffic control radar. Together we need to explore new ways of ensuring that wind power generation continues to deploy across the UK in line with Government targets, whilst at the same preserving flight safety.

“Aveillant works with a range of organisations, from the US Government to the Civil Aviation Authority, to help deliver complete mitigation solutions and we look forward to supporting NATS in its pioneering campaign.”
