AVTECH passes a significant milestone of 2 000 000 Aventus NowCast flights exceeding 99,9% delivery robustness
AVTECH Sweden AB today announces that the Company recently executed its second millionth Aventus NowCast revenue flight, helping airlines save significant amounts of fuel and in excess of 100 million metrical tonnes of CO2 since large scale roll-out of Aventus in late 2014. The service provision of Aventus NowCast has furthermore continued to be thoroughly robust, with average up-times of the Aventus system exceeding 99,9%, which well exceeds industry requirements.
“Executing two million Aventus NowCast revenue flights represents a milestone for AVTECH, and we are furthermore pleased to do so with such a high level of robustness in the Aventus system”, says Christer Fehrling, the Chief Executive Officer of AVTECH. “To give a perspective on the volumes that we are currently operating, two million flights represents an average management of roughly one flight every 20 seconds, 24/7 during the last 18 months, while in practice during peak hours, we manage many uplinks every second. While Sales discussions are progressing with a number of airlines, we are currently on track implementing Aventus NowCast for easyJet, the second largest short haul operator in Europe, and as such we continue our mission to increase our operational volumes further and to generate even bigger benefits to the aviation industry”, finishes Christer Fehrling.
