Combitech within the Saab Group has been awarded a contract to provide advanced automated weather observation system to Albania
In cooperation with TCN, a system integrator and infrastructure company in Albania, Combitech within the Saab Group has been awarded a contract to deliver a complete AWOS system for Tirana International Airport.
The contract also includes weather sensors, ATIS and a thunderstorm and lightning detection system.
The installation will start in the later part of the summer 2011 and comprises 7 working positions, mainly in the new TWR.
Being awarded this contract is a further proof of Saabs position as a leading provider of AWOS systems, says L Bergman, Sales Director.
