Digital Avionics Systems Conference Agenda updates and Keynotes announced
350 Top Researchers to Convene at the 43rd Digital Avionics Systems Conference
Registration is open for the 43rd annual AIAA/IEEE Digital Avionics Systems Conference (DASC), with support from Silver Sponsor Boeing and Bronze Sponsors MITRE, Merlin Labs, and Daedalean. For five days, 350 researchers, industry leaders, and subject matter experts from academia and government agencies, including NASA and the FAA, will explore the future of avionics systems.
This year’s agenda has been reimagined to include two plenary and three session panels and an outstanding keynote presentation by Chief of Staff for Engineering & Technology at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Heather Cohea. Panel and keynote speakers and topics are included in the attached media packet, as is information on 21 tutorials on an array of topics.
Presentations and tutorials are categorized in eight relevant tracks, including air traffic management, urban and advanced air mobility, uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), human factors, space systems, cybersecurity, integrated modular avionics and avionics platforms, communications, navigation, and surveillance, and information networks. Presentations also include student research and poster sessions.
The papers and presentations are judged and awards given for Best of Session, Best of Track, and Best of Conference. Awards also honor student work. In addition to student awards, DASC will host a student UAS competition, sponsored by Southwest Research Institute, on Tuesday, Oct. 1. More information is forthcoming.
Following the UAS Challenge and the student and conference poster sessions, the conference will once again host the DASC Women in Engineering reception, open to all, to highlight the contributions of women in avionics and provide an inclusive environment where women can network and share their successes.
Sponsorship and exhibition options are still available, and registration is open. For more information on sponsorship or to register, please visit https://2024.dasconline.org/.
