New services available on the Control Working Position at Reims UAC
At Reims UAC, DSNA, the French Air Navigation Service Provider, is deploying a permanent technical architecture supported by operational networks and Control Working Position (CWP)'s dedicated HMI. This new system called “4 Me” introduces new services and System Wide Information Management (SWIM) web-services such as :
- XMAN procedures (plug & play integration of new airports such as Zurich in March 2017)
- Extended ATC Planning procedures, including dissemination of Short Term ATFCM Measures onto the CWP
- Interactive weather information
- Network Manager flight 4D-profile access from the CWP
After the success of the live trials, the first build with some of these services was granted with a full operational status since 8th December 2016 and the project received the approval of the French National Supervisory Authority. Karine, Air Traffic Controller and Flow Manager at Reims UAC, said: “The “4Me” HMI is very intuitive and user friendly. It’s very helpful on the position, improving situational awareness and allowing the introduction of new procedures without excessive additional workload.”
