DWI supplies GRPS to flydubai
DWI is pleased to announce that it has signed flydubai, Dubais innovative low-cost carrier, to its GPS RAIM prediction service, GRPS.
The web-based user interface will allow flydubai's Flight Operations team and dispatchers to store aircraft specific configurations, aerodromes, waypoints and entire routes to expedite a validation check to meet regulatory requirements, while also reducing
workload.
The GRPS web service is ideal for an operator like flydubai, said John Wilde, CEO of DW International. flydubai can now perform the required RAIM predictions for all PBN operations including RNP AR approaches down to 0.1NM into places like Kathmandu.
The operations team at flydubai completed an online training session to learn how to manage and operate the system. They are also supported by DWIs dedicated round-the-clock helpdesk.
Commenting on the agreement, Ken Gile, COO of flydubai, said: The GRPS service ensures we meet the GCAAs regulatory requirements of having RAIM predictions associated with Performance Based Navigation. Working with DWI not only adds value, but also enables us to continue utilising cutting-edge technologies around our network as airports begin to implement RNP procedures.
