ENAIRE and DSNA France sign a memorandum of understanding on aeronautical information at the World ATM Congress
Enrique Maurer, ENAIRE's Air Navigation Services Director, and Geoffroy Ville, Deputy COO of DSNA France (Direction des Services de la Navigation Aérienne), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on aeronautical information at the World ATM Congress, which was opened yesterday in Madrid.
Among other aspects, the AIS MoU identifies the geographical area and the aeronautical entities of mutual interest to both countries, and sets out a process for coordinating modifications to these entities prior to their publication in amendments to the respective AIPs (Aeronautical Information Publications).
It also defines a process for identifying and solving inconsistencies in the data of both AIPs, as well as an agreement to update the common data in the EUROCONTROL EAD database.
It should be noted that the AIS MoU represents an important step in formalising the process of ensuring the quality and coherence of the information published by both countries.
