ENAIRE has already implemented 86% of the investments of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR)
ENAIRE, Spain's air navigation service provider, is contributing to the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) by investing 107 million euros, subsidized with NextGenerationEU Funds, to contribute to the development of the Single European Sky.
In compliance with Regulation (EU) 2021/241, ENAIRE has already awarded 100% of the investment, 86% of which has been implemented, with over 73% of the goals being met.
ENAIRE has already completed eleven projects, and aims to complete a further four this year in order to have at least 20 projects completed by 2026
Specifically, ENAIRE is contributing to the PRTR with the project "Actions to Develop the Single European Sky", classified within Component 6, "Sustainable, Safe and Connected Mobility", and the measure "National Transport Network: Trans-European Transport Network - Other Actions”, which is under the oversight of the Ministry for Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
This project is being undertaken through direct investments from ENAIRE intended to analyze the digital transformation of the systems used to manage air traffic; reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which will provide for the air sector's ecological transition, including the entry of new users such as drones; and ensure the social and economic cohesion that air transport generates, all in keeping with the actions promoted within Europe as part of the Single European Sky.
ENAIRE's project encompasses the modernization of its air traffic control and surveillance systems, the evolution of communications and information systems, and leveraging all of this to boost the digital transformation.
ENAIRE's investments are part of the “Actions for the Development of the Single European Sky” Project, classified into 12 Actions (CID) and through the execution of 30 projects that materialize with the execution of investment applications.
ENAIRE has already completed eleven projects, and aims to complete a further four this year in order to have at least 20 projects completed by 2026.
