GECI to Manufacture and Sell Harris Corporation’s Liberty-STAR™ Voice Communication Systems Internationally

GECI, a global engineering services provider focused on transportation and infrastructure markets, has signed a licensing agreement to manufacture and sell a Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) air traffic control communications system to international customers.

GECI has been a reseller of the Harris Liberty-STAR™ Voice Communication Control System (VCCS) system for the past two years.  The new agreement allows GECI to assemble, integrate and sell the system internationally. 

The Liberty-STAR VCCS features a modular architecture, open-platform software, and commercial-off-the-shelf hardware that delivers a reliable, scalable communications solution for ATC towers, airline and area control dispatch, flight service stations, and mobile shelters. It is used in 50 nations to support 200 customers’ civil and military air traffic control operations.
