IATA urges governments and stakeholders to address challenges in Latin America and Caribbean

Tony Tyler, IATA’s Director General and CEO, spoke at the ALTA Airline Leaders Forum in Nassau, Bahamas, today, where he cited the Latin America and Caribbean region’s strong growth potential while urging governments to work more closely with industry stakeholders to address challenges that are preventing aviation from making a bigger contribution to local economies. In his remarks, Mr. Tyler identified three specific areas needing attention:

• Infrastructure
• User Fees and Taxation
