Stauning Airport chooses Insero solutions to support their growth plans
To support their growth and expansion plans, Stauning Airport sought a cost-effective offering which could ensure their compliance with the EU-373 requirements.
To meet the requirements, Insero will be providing the Insero AWOS (Automatic Weather Observation System), including required weather sensors, as well as the Insero AIMS (Airport Information Management System - Flight Data Processing) solutions.
The Insero AWOS solution is an automatic or semi-automatic system for collecting, calculating and presenting meteorological information including Meteorological Aerodrome Report (METAR), MET REPORT including calculated Runway Visuel Range (RVR). Based on data from the provided weather sensor suite, automatic METAR transmissions will be provided and relevant weather data presented to the tower operators.
Insero AIMS is a modular AFTN/AMHS processing engine and message switching system, which provides intelligent handling of flight plans, meteorological information as well as additional AFTN/AMHS Data handling and it will provide Stauning Airport with support in relation to their Global Reporting Format (GRF) and runway surface conditions needs.
"We had a few issues we needed to address, first and foremost the need to fulfill the new EU-regulations for weather observations, but also a need to automate the transmission of visibility as a consequence of Danish CAA (Trafikstyrelsen) special rules in connection with new wind turbines close to the runway. As we also wanted to plan for the future we opted to get AIMS as a means to easily distribute the weather (METAR etc.) and to enable easier exchange of movement messages with other air traffic services in connection with flights at the airport. With the full package from Insero we feel well prepared for the future as well as present demands from our users and authorities, and with these new tools the local pilot community will have some great tools for their flight planning." Says Janni Andersen, Airport Manager, Stauning Airport
Michael H. Tandrup, CEO at Insero Air Traffic Solutions adds:
"We are delighted to see Stauning Airport join the continuously growing list of both regional, international and military airports which take advantage for the cost-effective Insero AWOS and Insero AIMS solutions. We look forward to the cooperation with Stauning Airport and to follow the materialization of their growth plans."
Insero AWOS and Insero AIMS will together with other Insero Air Traffic Solutions offerings be on display at the upcoming Airspace World 2023 conference in Geneva on 8-10 March 2023, where we will be present at stand number J20.
