LuciadRIA: Geospatial Situational Awareness Applications in Browser-Based Environments

Customers and prospects indicated that there is a need to offer state-of-the-art applications in browser-based environments. Luciad has been in close contact with architects and experts from Eurocontrol, FAA, NATO and other leading organizations, to discuss the required capabilities and available technologies. Luciad has developed LuciadRIA, a Rich Internet Application product that responds to these trends and needs.

LuciadRIA enables the development of advanced and easy-to-use cross-browser based applications using the available web-based technologies of today (HTML5, AJAX, etc). This product covers the capabilities as indicated below and as requested by users and experts in the Defense, Security and Aeronautical domain; these include:

• High performance visualization of imagery, satellite pictures, vector based data and dynamic content such as tracks
• Interactive HMI including editing of content and map annotations
• Integration in other Rich Internet Application technologies such as Flex and Silverlight
• Support for all commonly used browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) including those for mobile devices (e.g. iOS and Android)
