Managed-AIS participated in Global AIM conference 2011

Managed-AIS participated in the successful Global AIM conference on the 27th to 29th June 2011, organized by  IFAIMA in Lisbon.  Managed-AIS demonstrated products,  such as apsXML, AIXM data manager and the new Mobile-AIP.
During the three days of the conference, Managed-AIS organised demonstrations of its products such as aps XML, the worlds most widely used eAIP software[1] , the AIXM Data manager system developed in partnership with some of Europes key players in ATM modernisation, or the latest product, Mobile-AIP.
Mobile-AIP is a new way for users to find, browse and read AIP in a very intuitive, easy and quick way. Tablets were available on our stand to give the participants an opportunity to check the efficiency of our new aeronautical app and to discover the feeling of having aeronautical information in the palm of [their] hand .
IFAIMA is a non political federation of AIM associations whose objectives include promoting safety, efficiency and regularity in international air navigation and assisting and advising in the development of AIM, in order to maintain the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic.
Founded in 2008, its importance is growing, with now 40 countries represented. The results of this Global AIM conference were positive and we hope that the next Conference in 2012 will continue in the right direction.
[1]According to ICAO figures, half of the countries publishing an eAIP and over half of those moving to an eAIP are using it.
With 76 organizations and 34 countries represented, the event, a successor to the Global AIM congresses, was one of the most important of the year for Managed-AIS and we have been glad to be part of this success.
Logo_IFAIMA.JPGManaged-AIS, as a specialist aeronautical information solution company, has attended the global AIM congresses since 2006 and is a corporate member of IFAIMA since the 3rd general assembly in Beijing in 2010.
As an IFAIMA Corporate Member, we offered the 174 participants a coffee break during the first day to show our support to this event. An event, which we are sure, will continue to succeed.
