MC Solutions received the Innovation Award 2021 at Inter Airport Europe

Last week saw the inter Airport Europe event in Munich. During the event the inter airport Europe 2021 Innovation Awards Winners were announced. The winner this year in the category Data/Digitalisation was MC Solutions from Italy for their MIA System: the ALCMS of the future based on a PC logic and available on portable devices for maintenance operations and remote towers. The system is also tailored from the layout up to the alarm management and the integration of other systems.

The inventor and founder of the company Umberto together with Maurizio Cazzani, general manager of MC Solutions received the award. The international recognition is confirmation that the airfield light remote monitoring and control system delivers true innovation on the airfield.

MIA System brings compliance to EASE issue 4 DSN.S.890 monitoring and .T.921 Autonomous Runway Incursion, but also it contributes to decarbonisation.

Specifically the efficiency performed grants the reduction of taxi and holding position time and consequently limiting fuel consumption, reducing air and noise pollution.

Furthermore, MIA System is based on sturdy field devices that are engineered with a low consumption design that offers impressive savings in terms of energy and operational costs.
