Monte Belger Joins Metron Aviation as Vice President of Industry Relations
Metron Aviation has announced that aviation industry veteran, Monte Belger, has been appointed Vice President of Industry Relations. Mr. Belger has over 35 years of experience in the aviation industry and was most recently Vice President of Transportation System Solutions for Lockheed Martin, following a distinguished career with the FAA.

Mr. Belger joins the Industry Advisory Services group at Metron Aviation. This unit was created to ensure that Metron Aviation is well-positioned to contribute to the areas most important to the future of the aviation industry, with leading subject matter experts, partnerships with the world's top research universities and increased collaboration with industry associations such as CANSO, ATCA and RTCA. Mr. Belger will be working closely with Jack Kies, who will lead this newly formed, industry-focused unit, assuming the role of Chief Advisory Officer and Executive Vice President, Industry Advisory Services.

Mr. Belger served as acting administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration at the end of his distinguished 30-year career, previously serving as acting deputy administrator for the FAA from 1997 to 2002, leading the 49,000-person team and managing all aspects of FAA operations around the world. Mr. Belger also was associate administrator for Air Traffic Services, responsible for day-to-day operations of the nation's airspace system, and supervised the FAA's modernization plan, including all major development and acquisition programs. Mr. Belger also serves as the Chairman of the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) and President of the Aero Club of Washington.
