More success for integrated tower solutions from Frequentis

The project will see regional towers equipped with Frequentis smartTools a modular toolbox integrating various information and control applications. The ICAMS solution will include smartMET (meteorological data display), smartNAV (NAVAID status indication), smartATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service) and smartLICOS (lighting control system).

The solution is tailored to the needs of small regional towers, allowing a tower to be operated from one integrated working position. A remote maintenance concept centralises technical monitoring of several airports within one monitoring centre: this reduces maintenance costs for the customer. The first rollout stage covers five airports, with additional rollouts in subsequent years.
