NAATC on Schedule to Solve the New ICAO Document 4444 FPL Amendment by Enhancing their Ubitech AMHS System
In less than a year after Ubitech installed the Ubimex AMHS/AFTN in Curacao, the Netherlands Antilles Air Traffic Control N.V. (NAATC) has chosen Ubitech to enhance their existing communication system with the latest Ubimex ATS Message Handling System [AMHS].
The current system will be upgraded to allow for the transition to full AMHS communications. The project implementation schedule is also expected to be completed as part of an expedited schedule to allow NAATC the required time to prepare for the new ICAO Document 4444 FPL changes.
The primary advantage of Ubimex is that it provides NAATC with a single system which is capable of handling the current FPL along with the full functionality of the new Flight Plan, which is planned to be in operation in November 2012 in all ICAO countries. Ubitech now supplies all its systems with acceptance for the new and old ICAO Document 4444 FPL guidelines and has already implemented systems with ICAO Document 4444 2012 FPL Amendments in Dominican Republic, Thailand and Zambia.
Ubimex also provides NAATC with several technical advantages which are not available in other systems. One of those key advantages is its secure web-based AMHS User Agent. The latest enhancement will provide operators and administrators at NAATC with an advanced featured packed Graphical User Interface to facilitate all necessary AMHS and AFTN operations while also giving NAATC the ability to expand their country wide AMHS by adding additional User Agents in the future. The Ubimex Access Unit, also known as the gateway, will remain in place with a NADIN II interface connecting to the FAA data centre in Atlanta, GA.
NAATC can rest assured this latest enhancement to their Ubimex System will allow for a smooth transition to international AMHS communications. When NADIN IP connections are made available by the FAA, Ubitech hopes to assist NAATC with the essential interoperability testing between the FAA to ensure a seamless transition to AMHS communications.
NAATCs announcement to enhance their Ubimex system solidifies NAATCs confidence in Ubitech as an AMHS supplier.
