NATS at the World ATM Congress
NATS, a world leading provider of air traffic service and solutions, will be key supporter of the World ATM Congress in Madrid next month.
The event, organised by CANSO, the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation, in association with ATCA, the Air Traffic Control Association, is an opportunity for aviation leaders to come together at what is a critical point in the development of air traffic management.
On stand 890, subject matter experts and senior managers will be available to discuss NATS approach to capacity development, safety enhancement, environmental responsibility and operational efficiency throughout the event.
SESAR
On the opening day of the show, 12 February, in rooms N105 - N106 from 15:00 NATS CEO Richard Deakin will be taking part in the SESAR Forum entitled From Innovation to Solution, to discuss the progress towards the modernisation of European Air Traffic Management and to give an outlook onto key milestones in 2013.
Olympic challenge
That same day in the ATM Theatre from 10:15 - 11:15, NATS will also host a session discussing the challenges of delivering safe, efficient air traffic services during Londons Olympic summer. General Manager London Terminal Control, Paul Haskins, and London Terminal Control Operational Supervisor, Brian Wheeler, will present on airspace management for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Awards shortlisting
NATS has also been shortlisted for two IHS Jane's ATC Awards - in the Innovation category for iFACTS, the world-first system for reducing en-route controller workload and predicting future conflicts; and in the Service Provision category for its work delivering a safe and efficient air traffic service during the Olympic Games.
The awards will be presented at the CANSO ATM Dinner on 11 January.
