NAVBLUE’s N-Flight Planning Selected by Hawaiian Airlines to Transform Its Operations

N-FLIGHT PLANNING TO BE USED FOR ITS FLEET OF AIRBUS AND BOEING AIRCRAFT AND SOON TO BE DELIVERED AIRBUS A321NEO AND AIRBUS A330-800NEO.

- Waterloo, ON. Canada.

This strategic partnership with NAVBLUE will further enhance Hawaiian Airlines’ flight planning system with industry leading versatility and efficiency.

The airline will see a number of flight operation benefits and reduced operating costs through increased flight plan accuracy, dynamic route construction and higher productivity of dispatchers and flight planners. NAVBLUE’s N-Flight Planning also offers superior route optimization results, with integrated avoidance of in-flight hazards, such as forecast turbulence and icing. The system also provides Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM) prediction capabilities to support Hawaiian’s Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-based operations.

This collaborative project is an expansion of NAVBLUE technology that is used by Hawaiian Airlines, as the two have partnered on other flight operations solutions for more than 10 years. Shawn Mechelke, VP, SaaS Products and Aircraft Performance of NAVBLUE stated, “We recognize that Hawaiian has several unique applications intended to provide value-added decision support data to their flight planning system. NAVBLUE N-Flight Planning system will integrate with these applications, preserving the advantage that these products deliver while adding the distinguishing advantages of our own N-Flight Planning product.”

Hawaiian Airlines will roll out the new N-Flight Planning system by the beginning of 2017 for a target cutover into production by end of first quarter 2017.
