Nepal Entrusts COMSOFT with Establishment of Countrywide AMHS Infrastructure
The air navigation service provider of Nepal to receive COMSOFTs message handling solution AIDA-NG and aeronautical information system CADAS.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has awarded a contract through international competitive bidding to COMSOFT for the implementation of a countrywide infrastructure for the processing and distribution of flight plans and related information. The central AMHS system of the well-proven type AIDA-NG will be installed at Kathmandus Tribhuvan International Airport. Ten national airports across the country will soon be able to receive flight plans and other ATS messages via CADAS AMHS user terminals, which present information in a most user-friendly manner.
The countrys mountainous geography requires a mix of tethered and wireless lines to connect the main system with the recipients at the various airports. The German AMHS expert's vast experience from similar projects will be most valuable for these challenging conditions.
As a matter of course the entire system will be fully in line with
latest ICAO requirements for both flight plan formats, present and new.
