Mexico’s SENEAM selects Rockwell Collins for oceanic voice, departure clearance and FANS services

- Annapolis, MD. USA.

SENEAM, the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) of Mexico, has signed a comprehensive aviation communications agreement with Rockwell Collins.

Under the agreement, Rockwell Collins will provide voice relay and Future Aircraft Navigation Systems (FANS) services for aircraft flying in Mexico’s Mazatlán oceanic airspace. The company is also providing its ARINC TowerHost departure clearance (DCL) solution at Mexico City’s Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX), improving efficiency and safety by providing text-based clearances directly to the cockpit.

“The Rockwell Collins solutions provide SENEAM with both voice and datalink services,” said Yun Chong, vice president, Commercial Aviation Services for Rockwell Collins. “With this agreement, aircraft now have diverse and complementary communications when flying in Mexican oceanic airspace, making flights safer by having multiple means of communicating.”
