Saabs electronic flight strip system e-Strip is now in service at Stockholm-Arlanda airport, enabling even higher capacity at Swedens largest airport.
The system was put into operation in late December last year, and has had a successful first month.
Yes, the introduction went very well and we are very satisfied with the system, says Sven Wetterwik, Chief Operations in Stockholm-Arlanda TWR. Its very flexible and enhance our operation in the way we like it.
Weve been developing this system in close cooperation with our stakeholders, especially with LFV in Sweden, and it is rewarding to see it in operation and how well it functions, says Per Ahl, Director Sales ATM, Saab. We have already had several potential customers looking at the system and their comments have been very encouraging.
The e-Strip system is role based and very configurable in design, so the layout and functionality can easily be changed to suit a variety of different customer requirements from small to large airports. It is easy to change most of the functionality and design without any reprogramming of the system.
