Sensis Appoints John Jarrell Vice President & General Manager, Air Traffic Systems
Sensis Corporation has announced the appointment of John Jarrell as Vice President and General Manager of Air Traffic Systems, a division which provides surveillance and automation solutions for air navigation service providers, airlines, and airports to optimize the safety and security of airline passengers. Jarrell will be responsible for developing and executing the companys aviation business strategy.
Jarrell brings with him more than 20 years of aerospace and high tech experience, as well as a proven track record of significantly increasing market share, revenue and profit growth for billion dollar firms including SITA (Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques), EDS (Electronic Data Systems) and Texas Instruments. Most recently, as SITA Senior Vice President of Airport & Desktop Services, Jarrell diversified the SITA portfolio to become the worlds largest provider of information technology solutions for airport terminals. During his tenure, the unit achieved the highest profit levels in its history while simultaneously achieving the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the history of the company. Further, John developed a strategy for extending the SITA product suite to include airport surface management and grew the SITA airport business from $100M to nearly $500M in annual sales while increasing profitability.
John has an impressive record of successfully managing the global operations of a $500M segment of a billion dollar company while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, said Jud Gostin, president and chief executive officer of Sensis Corporation. Jarrell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Masters degree in International Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.
