SolaCom Selected to Install a New VCCS in Quellón, Chile

Amezage Integracion e Ingenieria Limitada will provide system integration services for Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil de Chile (DGAC Chile) and selected SolaComs Liberty-STAR VCCS with 6 radio interfaces and 24 telephone interfaces. The new system includes one touch screen and two push button operator positionsa capability very few suppliers can deliver. Quellón has become a very important city over the years experiencing considerable growth. The city has become a major hub for both the industrial and fishing industries and has seen a great deal of commercial development over that time. The Quellón Airport is undergoing a major renovation project geared at improving its airport operations. The project includes construction of a new air traffic control tower, installation of new runway lighting and air traffic control (ATC) equipment including VHF radios and VCCS. Chile is the latest South American country to select SolaComs Liberty-STAR VCCS system following successful installations in Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina.
