SolaCom & Intelcan join forces to modernize airport

The VCCS systems were seen as key components in regional efforts aimed at improving and enhancing air traffic control in the area. The first VCCS system will see a solution that includes 8 touch screen operator positions, 6 radio interfaces and 30 telephone interfaces. The second VCCS system will be comprised of 6 touch screen operator positions, 6 radio interfaces and 30 telephone interfaces.
Each system comes equipped with all of the ATC features and functions required by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In addition, each system features Best Signal Selection for enhanced radio functionality.

The contract is the latest for SolaCom in Africa as it continues to expand its network within the country. SolaCom has also completed installations in Algeria and Nigeria.
