Sri Lanka First for Systems Interface
Systems Interface Ltd, based in Surrey UK, has been awarded a major contract for the supply and installation of an ILS (Instrument Landing System) and a DME (Distance Measuring System) at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, Colombo-Sri Lanka.
Contracts were signed in July 2011 between Queens Group Sri Lanka and Airport and Aviation Services(Sri Lanka) Limited, a government owned company, for the supply and installation by Queens Groups valued partner in Sri Lanka, Systems Interface Ltd, for a Normarc 7000 ILS and a Moog Fernau 2020 DME.
Completion of installation will be early 2012.
Bandaranaike International Airport is the hub of South Asia currently serving over 36 destinations in 20 countries with over 25 airlines.
