Telvent to Supply Aviation Information Systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Telvent the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today that it has been awarded a contract in Bosnia and Herzegovina, totaling around one million euros, to deliver various aviation information systems to four airports located in this country.
After signing this new contract, Telvent will supply diverse automatic weather observation systems (AWOS) for the airports of Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar, as well as other aviation information systems for the Directorate of Civil Aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
All of the aforementioned systems, featuring leading technology, are fully compatible with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) regulations and WMO (World Meteorological Organization) standards. Their function will be to provide information on weather conditions and airport operations to air traffic services, personnel in charge of meteorology at each airport, pilots, airlines and other users. The data obtained from aviation information systems is essential in enabling efficient and secure decision-making for airport authorities.

Execution of this project will broaden Telvents deep expertise in meteorological and aviation information solutions, which are currently deployed all over the world, specifically supporting aviation operations in other European countries, such as Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
