Thales hands over Punta Cana and Santo Domingo ATC centres to the Dominican Republic
Two Thales TopSky-ATC systems managing Punta Cana and Santo Domingo have been handed over to the Dominican Republic at a ceremony in the presence of the Panamean authorities, ICAO and CANSO.
This further success comes just after the announcement in April, of the inauguration of the New Approach and En-Route Radar Air Traffic Control Centre housing 12 Control Working Position (CWP) and capable of managing the entirety of Panama’s airspace.
With this handover, Thales, already the regional leader, with over 165 radars representing more than 50% of the all operational surveillance in the continent, further strengthens its position as leading ATM provider in Latin America & the Caribbean.
