Thales ADS-B tests in Mexico exceed all expectations
1,800 ADS-B/MLAT stations deployed worldwide
Thales’s ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) site in Mexico City, which underwent stringent verification tests by Mexican Authorities, has been accepted after exceeding all parameters and theoretical expectations set by the Country’s ANSP, SENEAM.
The country’s air service navigation service provider remarked their satisfaction at an ICAO/FAA workshop on ADS-B & Multilateration held in Mexico City on May 20th attended by representatives of several other Latin American ANSPs.
The final milestone in the Mexico ADS-B programme is on track for on-time completion by summer 2014 with the integration into the Thales TopSky-ATC Control Centre in Mexico City.
