Munich center completes system fallback training using UFA, Inc. ATVoice® voice recognition enabled simulations

UFA Inc., a leading provider of Air Traffic Simulation and Voice Technologies, announces that Munich Center completed the training of over 400 Controllers using simulations supported by ATVoice voice recognition. 

The DFS NEWSIM Training Platform, built on the ATCoach simulator with integrated ATVoice and incorporating DFS developed technology, integrates with the DFS P2 Automation System to provide a range of training capabilities for the Center. 

For this specific training activity, all Controllers at the Center were required to perform training on a Fallback System situation.  Over the period of 6 months, 400 Controllers successfully completed the training on NEWSIM using ATVoice.

DFS VRR Project Manager Michael Slotty said, “Using VRR for the complete Munich Fallback Training is the breakthrough at DFS for the introduction of Voice Recognition and Response. It is planned to continue introducing this technology in the DFS training environment.”
