UkSATSE is able to provide air traffic services over the Black Sea
UkSATSE is able to provide air traffic services in full amount in the international airspace over the Black Sea, which is under responsibility of Ukraine - Dmytro Babeichuk declared during the meeting with senior managers of ICAO, EUROCONTROL, IATA and FAA, which took place within the framework of the 2nd High Level Security Conference in Montreal (Canada). He also noted that UkSATSE technical facilities and professional level of the staff fully comply with EUROCONTROL and CANSO requirements to the air navigation service providers.
Besides, Dmytro Babeichuk reported that in the years 2013-2014 our country dully updated the Letters of Agreement (LoA) with Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania, thus confirming the responsibility of Ukraine for the provision of high-quality air traffic services in the international airspace over the high seas, the responsibility for which was delegated to Ukraine basing on the regional air navigation agreements in force and ICAO Council Decision.
“Ukraine, as full member of ICAO, strictly follows the international agreements in the sphere of civil aviation and air navigation, including regional air navigation plan, the party to which is Ukraine. Therefore Ukraine addressed this influential international organization with a request to confirm its exclusive right to provide air traffic services over the Black Sea, which was delegated to our country by the Decision of ICAO Council in 1997” – emphasized Dmytro Babeichuk.
