UMILES presents advance air and ground mobility solutions

UMILES will also unveil the model of the all-new Integrity piloted aircraft, scheduled to be launched in 2027

- Madrid, Spain

UMILES Group, Spain’s leading provider of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), attends the World ATM Congress this year as sponsor of the Expodrónica pavillion, with a unique space dedicated exclusively to Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

The 200 square-metre UMILES stand, located in Pavilion 9, showcases the group’s disruptive advanced, sustainable, efficient ground and air mobility solutions, delivered through its company UMILES Next.

The centre-piece of this year’s stand is the new version of the air taxi: Concept Integrity, an evolved version of the model which debuted at last year’s Congress with a brand new, cutting-edge design. This new, larger model boasts evolved systems throughout, from the propellers to the engines, featuring carbon-fibre landing gear, arms and aerodynamic fairings.

The University School of Design, Innovation and Technology, ESNE, designed the interior of the aircraft, which offers the optimal combination of passenger comfort and sustainable materials. Visitors to the Congress will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the new design and enjoy the onboard experience first-hand at the UMILES stand.

This updated model will channel UMILES Next’s efforts to bring travel by air taxi even closer to reality. In fact, this is the very aircraft that will participate in a range of European initiatives (Cranfield, Amsterdam, Santiago de Compostela, Jaén, Bordeaux and Toulouse), where various operators will offer demos of how these vehicles work. Through these initiatives, the various players in the consortium of European companies will work together to build the future regulatory framework and consider the various safety-related scenarios, among other key aspects.

UMILES Group CEO Carlos Poveda said: “UMILES’ goal is to go to market swiftly and to achieve that, we need to work with all air mobility players to define a series of rules, standards and requirements that we will all respect. That is why every company in the sector is participating in working groups to help regulators lay the groundwork for this new landscape.

Integral thinking defines UMILES Next. Technology is continually evolving, and we develop our products with both the present and the future in mind."

After launching the first 100% Spanish air taxi last year, UMILES Next continues to design aircraft based on its patented flight stability system, FlyFree technology, which provides maximum stability and safety for both passenger and cargo transport, as well as the most efficiency, manoeuvrability and safety throughout the flight. The FlyFree stability system is also capable of carrying out the most complex manoeuvres, even in adverse weather conditions.

UMILES Next and ground mobility

UMILES Next is a pioneering operator with a dual commitment to new air and ground mobility, bringing both aircraft and ground vehicles to the market for the new advanced mobility operators, harnessing technological synergies across the two segments safely and sustainably. The Company will also be showcasing its take on urban ground mobility functions, focusing on strategic technologies that will be critical for tomorrow's vehicles.

The UMILES stand will also showcase the Company’s strength in unmanned aircraft, encompassing 360° services with UMILES UAV. The SATURNO drone, for example, is an unmanned aircraft for defence, security and rescue operations which is fully manufactured in Spain. It is designed to carry out quick, safe and effective missions under all weather conditions in any environments.

Also on show will be UME-S choreography drones which are used in UMILES’ entertainment light shows, and a choreographed event will be the highlight and closing act of the Congress, where over 200 drones will premiere a new show on the 23rd at the Cuatro Vientos aerodrome.

The ninth edition of the World ATM Congress opens today and will run through to 23 June at IFEMA, Madrid. It is the world’s largest manned and unmanned air traffic management (ATM/UTM) event and will attract a broad range of professionals from the aviation and drone industry, as well as representatives of civil and military institutions. At the Congress, different industry experts will exchange their views in presentations and round tables related to the sector.
